Margaret Sampson-George is teaching a workshop this weekend at Hettie's Patch, and what a perfectly gentle rainy day to be sitting inside and sewing. She's brought along a collection of her quilts to explain the different elements of shape and fabric. She teaches us how to make those fabric choices in a conscious and careful manner so that although the quilt is deliberate, it is also uncontrived with beautiful movement and depth. The best piece of advice from her is to choose what you love, and start from there. We couldn't agree more.
