Uzbek Tote Bag

Quiltcon 2016 was held in Pasadena last weekend and our friend Cathy Mogull (maker, stitcher, brocanteur, gatherer, and proprietress of Summerland Mercantile) was there with French General who had a booth in the immense vendor hall. Quiltcon is the biggest modern quilting event of its kind featuring top modern quilting instructors and attracts attendees from all over the world. We received an email from Cathy last week because she took the Uzbek tote bag that we made her few years ago and she wanted to tell us that 'this bag has been the hit of Quiltcon 2016'. How lovely was that! It is a Hettie's Patch pattern that we made using Reece Scannell shot cottons and was then hand quilted with Valdani threads. It is very comfortable to carry and can fit quite a bit in it, and as you can see, it wears very well. So a big thanks and big love to Cathy for the update!

The pattern is available in our online store.
