One Small Room in West Croydon is a shop that has a variety of things from vintage furniture, to clothing, gift wares, and books. While I was browsing in there last week, I happened upon this book and I've hardly put it down since. The opening sentence states: "It is time to pull the word 'artisan' out from its dusty shelf and give it back its noble status". There are around 70 artists/designers from all over the world in this book, and it's inspiring to see what they make and the space it is made in. There are textile designers, ceramicists, jewellers, and metalsmiths to name a few. I'm not sure if OSR had any of these books left, but needless to say, it's always worth a visit because you never know what treasure you may find or what inspiration may catch your eye.
