We have two quite different classes that run on a Friday. There is a hand sewing class which is mostly paper piecing and appliqué. Below is Maryanne's 'Emma Mary' quilt which is a Judy Newman pattern. She has made it in mostly liberty fabrics and has offset the floral paper pieced shapes against a pale grey stripe and spot. Then there is the wool embroidery class in the classroom which is a colourful array of brightly coloured stitches on brightly coloured wools. There are always differing stages of progress all over the shop, but I think it's helpful to be able to see all the different variations on a theme especially when it comes to choosing colours.
