Last weekend Helen & I went to Melbourne for the Australian Quilt Market. As usual, we had a lot of fun catching up with people we don't see often. Also, we had the opportunity to see new fabrics, notions and books. You may be interested to know that Kathy Doughty is releasing a new fabric range early next year called "A Wandering Mind". It's inspirational and beautiful and needless to say I have ordered the range. We haven't set dates yet, but Hetties is hoping Kathy Doughty and Wendy Williams will be able to visit us next year. Both Kathy and Wendy will be releasing new books. Zoe Clifton had her new book at the show called "Magic Melons". It comes with the templates and Hetties has it in stock now.
Natalie Bird also has a new book "In My Garden". It's full of small projects - perfect for stitching over the holidays.
New stock will be arriving over the next couple of months. French General's new range "Le Bouquet Francais" is one of them.... Janet Clare's "Hearty Good Wishes" along with a book of the same name is another. Sue Daley's new range "French Courtyard" will be here soon. There's more, but it's almost too many to keep up with. Would you believe the pre-cuts for next year's Xmas range "Winter Wonderland" by Bunny Hill have already arrived.
Barbara Brackman's "Morris Modernized" is already in store.
Hettie's has a lot happening in the new year. One thing we are pleased to announce is that Sue Daley from Patchwork with Busy Fingers and the Quilted Crow Girls from Tasmania will be teaching at "A Weekend at Hetties" on the 28th Feb, 1st and 2nd March 2014. More details will follow, however it's worth blocking out that time in your diaries. We have something special planned!!!
